We really like Endeavour, Lewis and Vera, so maybe along those lines?? Any ideas please?

Lala Land on Netflix, if you want a film

Vienna Blood is still on iplayer - a pretty tame detective series set in Freud's Vienna. Not groundbreaking but I enjoyed it Smile

Theres a new detective series on ITV at 8pm. It's a bit more gentle than Lewis or endeavor but the Bath setting is gorgeous.

Cosmosgrowinmygarden · 08/03/2020 18:51

What about that new show on ITV - McDonald & Dodds? It was okay last week - not as serious/dark as Endeavour, not as light as Midsummer 😊

Whatsnewpussyhat · 08/03/2020 18:52

McDonald and Dodd? On itv at 9pm. The first one last week will be on catch up.

Harmless detective murder stuff

A Touch of Frost?

WisestIsShe · 08/03/2020 19:21

How about the new series of Race around the world? It's on BBC2 at 8pm

TooMuch87 · 08/03/2020 19:22

Jonathan Creek on iPlayer?

Justwondered90901 · 08/03/2020 19:26

Pottery shown down channel 4 / more 4 catch up! That's family friendly and lovely and interesting. If you want something a bit more adult and lovely the episode hang the dj from the black mirror series on netflix is bloody good and long enough to consume a bit of your evening

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 08/03/2020 19:53

Have you ever watched Last Tango in Halifax? The current series is heading to its end, but all the previous series are on iplayer.

PickAChew · 08/03/2020 20:05

Death in paradise is pretty gentle (though it got quite serious in a story about coercive control, the other week)
