I really want to find an interesting hobby and would love some inspiration!

I’m based in London so have lots of opportunities (though expensive). I’m trying to stay physically active but never really been into team sports... I’ve recently taken up Salsa which I’m enjoying.

Any ideas? Smile

I'm a glass artist (I have my own kiln and when I get my studio built will be running classes) Knitting, sewing, crochet, reading, learning to dance, ten pin bowling.

So much that I need to give up my own business as I don't have enough time to work! Grin

Mine are metal detecting and crochet. I can't knit but crochet works really well for me.

Muay Thai! It's a fantastic workout, it doesn't involve teamwork, and for me at least, it's pretty much the best stress reliever out there!

What is Mehndi and Lyra hoop??

Arghh! Also I would LOVE to be good at sewing but if my year 9 textiles lessons are anything to go by, I possess no skill in this area whatsoever...

Thinking about it, I think I would prefer something where I can meet new people and socialise too - so I guess hobbies I’d just do by myself at home wouldn’t work so well

And sorry I don’t know what Muay Thai is either!

I did a pottery making class a few years ago and really liked it...anyone know of any group workshops?

It's a little like kickboxing. Most of my friends whom I introduced to MT were a little skeptical at first, but 90% I'd say of our gym focuses on fitness and technique (only a few participate in actual combat which is heavily supervised by the instructors anyway) which takes the 'scare factor' out of it. Some of them are now even more into it than I am these days!

I go to the gym & do some cardio but mainly weights. Trying to get fit, lose weight & tone up.

I like reading especially factual books about people in Ww2.
I actually have a collection of books on Ww2 & the Holocaust, also antique & vintage books & magazines. Some of my books are at least 130 years old.

I like listening to & downloading music from Spotify especially trance & drum n bass.
I like Tiesto, Wilkinson, Avicii, Chase n Status, Shy FX, David Guetta etc etc.
I enjoy seeing live bands & djs.

I also like going to antique & vintage fairs & shops & trawling eBay for the items I collect such as Goebel cats, Sylvac vases, Szeiler cats, & Philip Laureston animals.
I also collect original Victorian & Edwardian, Ww1 & Ww2 photos.

Sailing or rowing?

Before falling pregnant I did yoga and running, hoping to get back into both of these once baby is here.

I LOVE making costumes for DS for book day, Halloween etc so thought I might try my hand at turning DSs old baby clothes into a quilt once I start feeling a bit more human again.

I have had none for years but this year I have been swimming 3 times a week which relaxes me and gives me happy alone time as I have to focus on swimming as I'm not that great so my worries leave me in there and started doing weights at the gym less of hobby and more of a necessary evil though.

I also get through 2-3 books a week on audible although maybe that's a habit not a hobby?
