Single mum and having been single for years (6) and meeting useless mugs one after the other, I’m starting to think maybe I’m destined to be alone for the rest of my life.

Hoping to hear some positive stories please Grin

Erm... almost 10 years now! I date but haven't met anyone serious in that time. I don't NEED a man for anything so they need to bring something great to my world and frankly they just don't 🤷‍♀️

I'm watching this thread too 👀

@Monstermissy36
I absolutely agree. Who NEED’s a man ? It would be nice to meet someone who values me as much as I value myself though. Starting to think it’s not going to happen lol

I’m hoping you can find your Prince Charming soon Flowers

I was a single mum from the beginning Dd1's dad put me off men for years. I did have a couple of relationships but nothing serious.

I met now DH at a works night out. I was 28. My life totally changed when I met him.
Been together 14 years now.

Met DP after being single for 10 years. Didn't really date much in the 10 years as my DD had lots of health issues and my time was taken by work, hospital appointments and I didn't think anyone I met was a good fit for DD. Me and DP were friends for over an year before we started our relationship, and I knew he and DD already got on. Weve been together 7 years now, still very much in love.

12 years and counting for me! I’m not that worried really, I haven’t met anyone that I would want to spend an extended period of time with Grin! We’ll seW what life brings!

About 4 years but I'd never had anything serious.

My positive story is that I finally realised that I am better off single.

I am dating somebody and I like him but that is so besides the point. In 12.5 years I haven't met anybody serious. But now I don't envy people in ltr. I look at women my age and recognise that their house/life/social circle(even sometimes, identity) all hangs on being one half of a couple and there are risks to that, risks I don't have to take. What I do have is all mine. I look forward to more freedom when teens need me less.
