Can you get short projection chairs(for kids)? It's quite tight for space around our kitchen table.

Do you mean high chair?

Are the DC old enough to sit on a bench or stool? They take up less room. IKEA do a reasonable range.

The Ingolf from Ikea is really good. Exactly like a bar stool but the foot rest is higher so that kids can sit comfortably. The leg splay in the photo looks wide but in reality it's the same as a normal chair. My 7yo still happily used it and has done since he was about 2/3.

Ikea do something called a junior chair which has taller legs so they're the right height for the table, but I don't know if they've got a smaller footprint than a normal chair as they flare out a bit at the base for stability.

Like a Tripp trap? I'm not quite sure what you mean. Dts have trip trapps and the tuck right under the table. They're 8 now and still use them every day and when I wfh I use one as they're really comfy and supportive.

ha, they're 11 and 13, so maybe not a Tripp trapp.
Just a chair with a slightly smaller footprint.

What's a projection chair??

PotatoeHead · 07/03/2020 09:58

It's what they have in those fighter planes ... or is that an ejection chair?

That's one way to improve their table manners I suppose Grin
