Daft question about picture frames

I've got a 50x70cm print. I'm looking for a frame with a mount that would hold this picture. I ordered what I thought was the right thing from Amazon but it just is a 50x70 frame, with no mount. What size frame do I need to buy?!

It depends on the size of the mount you want. You need to search for frames with mounts, or get a mount separately and then get a frame that matches the dimensions of the mount.

Usually, a mount measures approx. 5 cms along the upper and both sides, with the lower side about another 1 cm (this makes the art work look more "balanced") so you would need a frame of 60cm x 85 or 90cm to allow for the mount. A deeper mount might look better at that size, but is a matter of taste. You might be better to look at art supplies web sites which sell frames and mounts, but would probably be more expensive than Amazon.
