As a bit of light relief, what are you looking forward to this weekend?

I'm going to see an old friend and staying over so we can have a proper catch up, eat too much (probably) and drink too much (certainly) Grin

Dh working tomorrow so a lovely free day for me. Forecast crap though. Again. Might buy some stuff for tubs to put on the steps. Probably watch the rugby.

burntpinky · 06/03/2020 17:46

@kittlesticks oh me too! Even though I know it’s not real it’s bloody scary! And I can’t watch it whilst eating dinner!

purplecorkheart · 06/03/2020 17:48

I am going to take a makeup course so hopefully I will stop looking like a three year old playing dress up in future.

DC have gone to stay with my parents for the weekend. DH is going out all day tomorrow. Peace and quiet, no one to wake me up in the middle of the night or early in the morning, no whinging, don't have to make anyone go to a swimming lesson they don't want to go to or do their homework. I will miss them but I will enjoy the peace. (working Sunday so only one day of peace and quiet). Am going out for dinner with DH tonight, which very very rarely happens.

DS has a party followed by sleepover at Granny’s.
DH and I are going round to friends for food, wine and a good catch up.
Lie in on Sunday.
Lazy Sunday afternoon with a film.

Being able to give my voice a rest hopefully. I've been slowly losing it since Tuesday and constantly having to talk over a rowdy, noisy class hasn't done it any good. The thing is that my own children aren't doing as I've asked them at the moment either so I'm losing my patience and might end up having to raise my voice with them too!

VenusClapTrap · 06/03/2020 18:21

We are going to a Christmas party on Sunday. Yes you read that right. It has been much postponed.

BlueJava · 06/03/2020 18:23

No work!
No cleaning as I've caught up in the week!
Friday night is takeaway night :)

FrangipaniBlue · 06/03/2020 20:11

DH is away and DS(12) has a mate staying so they'll pretty much look after themselves.

I did all the housework this morning so planning to spend the weekend pretending I'm young free and single without a care in the world Grin

Currently watching horror movies (DH hates them) with a large gin, will probably do some running, cycling, long walk with the dog and then a long leisurely soak in the bath on Sunday to finish

lachy · 06/03/2020 21:08

DD has ballet and swimming tomorrow, after which we're going to come home, via the play park and spend the rest of the weekend colouring, painting and playing with her birthday toys.

She's requested a PJ day on Sunday...I'm not going to say no to that!

CorianderLord · 06/03/2020 21:08

I'm working all weekend but going for dinner at a restaurant on Saturday which was a gift

Mrsfussypants1 · 06/03/2020 21:28

I've got cold, so I've self isolated myself, I'm onto the second week of my holidays on Monday so im in full on pj mode and housebound. DH is working away, grandaughter would normally stay over but that's on hold as a precaution. I feel like crap, but I do have plans (indoors) saturday, it's our 2 cats birthdays. So fresh cat pjs on in morning, presents, cat bubbles, bit of golf on the tv (they love it) followed by some cat themed tv and nap on sofa. I think I'm losing the plot.

roarfeckingroar · 06/03/2020 21:30

I'm newly pregnant and DP is unavoidably away for a couple of days so I'm spending some lovely time by myself going for long walks, doing hot yoga and getting my nails done. Might also sort through a few cupboards to make a bit of space. Really enjoying it so far,
