Photo permissions

Do you allow schools/clubs etc permission for pictures of your DCs to be published online etc.

Or do you say no? We have always kept our Dcs pics off social media etc- DH works in internet security and has concerns but we are coming under pressure to allow photo permissions.

Obviously when they are older the DCs can choose for themselves but when are they old enough to understand?

I am less worried than DH about it but happy to go along with his view but I am finding that I am the one who has to defend this position. (Why do they allow an opt out if they don’t want to honour it?)

What are your thoughts?

We don't allow online, but we do allow brochures and research material. You shouldn't need to defend your position! It's perfectly acceptable to hold the 'no' opinion in this day and age. Are the school actually arguing against your decision??
