Moving to Northwich

Hi, I live in Madrid and I just got a job offer in Northwich. I would move with my husband and 16th month baby girl. I will need a nursery for her and I assume that it will take a few months until my husband can find a job. My question is, how much do I need to live in Northwich, in average? Can you help?

Living cost would be based off if you are renting (the average cost to rent is £584 per month for a 2 bedroom property) or buying, but in terms of childcare cost, if you went with Growing minds nursery (www.growingmindschildcare.co.uk/times-fees/), it is £190 a week for under 3s, if they attend 8pm-6pm. this is (as far as im aware) the cheapest childcare provider in the area.

Thanks a lot @sleepismysuperpower1, that's a very useful information. how about having a car? Is it very expensive? the taxes, the gasoil...

Do you mean Northwich in Cheshire? If so, compared to the rest of Cheshire, Northwich is a fairly inexpensive place to live. Regarding petrol, it's pretty much the same as anywhere else, in the UK.....expensive

Thanks, yes, I mean Northwich, Chesire. I am spanish and lived in London for 9 months in my twenties, but is no reference to me as I assume London is more expensive than Northwich and also I have a family and other responsabilities that I did not have when I was a student and lived with a penny :)

Hi we are looking to relocate to Northwich from Cumbria. I would like to know about nice family area/community feel, preferably near to the John Deane College. Our son will be 16 & wondered what activities are available for teenagers? He like football, cinema, music, photography, outdoors & gaming! We don't know anyone in the area, so any info about Northwich would be great. Thanks Smile

Just jumped on this thread as we have just been driving around Hartford, weaverham, Cuddington, Marston, Winington as thinking of moving from Levenshulme in Manchester as better high schools, more house/garden for your money and lovely countryside on your doorstep. However, as we don’t know the area greatly we weren’t sure about some places as they seemed extremely quiet without shops nearby. Winington seemed to be walking distance to town though. Are there any artisan/ independent bars, bakeries etc in the above areas, we may have been driving in the wrong area?! So hard to make a judgment when you don’t know the areas. Any info would be gratefully received:)
