I live somewhere it’s the main link. Nothing booked myself but it’s a real pain.

Me. I have flights and a non-refundable hotel booked for July. Sad

Ellmau · 05/03/2020 08:00

Not directly, but they flew out of our most convenient airport so unless another airline picks up the slots it will mean we have fewer/less appealing choices in future.

purpleleotard · 05/03/2020 08:04

Me too, flight booked for May
Plus hotels and car hire we now cannot get to.

Me. I was taking my son to Belfast in a couple of weeks.

TeddyIsaHe · 05/03/2020 09:25

Me, they’re the main airline in our tiny airport and now there’s only 2/3 destinations instead of 20+.

Trooperslaneagain · 05/03/2020 09:26

Belfast City airport is fecked if no one else pics up the flights. According to BBC 80% of flights from there are FlyBe.

Very bad news.

Pantah630 · 05/03/2020 09:31

DS2 at uni in Belfast, we're South Coast so Southampton nearest route. Otherwise it's a much more expensive ferry and lots of different, very expensive, trains to get home, unless he can come via Dublin. :(

maidenover · 05/03/2020 09:35

CEO of Belfast City airport is on Radio 5 at the moment he said they are already in contact with other airlines to pick up the routes, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 05/03/2020 09:48

I'm pretty sure another airline will take on the routes. Belfast City airport is really handy to me and I've family in Scotland so I'm hoping it's sorted soon

whiplashy · 05/03/2020 10:07

Is this likely to be resolved? Ie I have flights booked at the end of the month, should I rebook with another airline or is it possible Flybe will sort it out by then?

Ihatefootball86 · 05/03/2020 10:12

Stuck in amsterdam with limited funds. Flew in yesterday with flybe and was supposed to be leaving tomorrow . The flights have shot up.

Youngatheart00 · 05/03/2020 10:13

@whiplashy they won’t be coming back - you’ll need to rebook and claim the costs of the original fights via either the administration process or insurance, neither guaranteed unfortunately.

Pericombobulations · 05/03/2020 10:15

My husband who had a flight home with three colleagues today! They are trying to either get the train or a hire car to get them all home.

DH uses them regularly for internal flights, not sure what his firm plan going ahead.

Punxsutawney · 05/03/2020 10:18

We have flights booked for July. Just a short trip to Amsterdam after Ds's gcses, no hotel or anything else booked though. Dh is going to start the 'section 75' process with the credit card company today.

So hard for those that have lost their jobs. Southampton is where we would have flown from, 95% of their flights were Flybe.

BonnesVacances · 05/03/2020 10:19

Southampton is saying the same.

ValedictoryMessage · 05/03/2020 10:35

My DH was due home today - i hadn't realised he was on flybe. He's now home a convoluted route tomorrow.

I was supposed to be going Manchester to Aberdeen at the start of April. Roadtrip it is!

TheGreatWave · 05/03/2020 12:04

Apparently some of the train operators are accepting Flybe tickets. I presume this is just now in the immediate aftermath but worth looking into if you are or you have relatives stuck.
