Mine was waaaay back when we thought the Millennium bug was going to end civilisation. I was going away for New Year and had hardly any cash until pay day so before I left I went to the corner shop and bought some tinned fruit, long life milk and pasta. Aside from the fact that it was a really shit haul of food, if the bug had actually caused havoc then I'd have been stuck 100's of miles away from my flat anyway.
This week I bought a torch. No idea why, really.
