healthy meal plan for one

Hi,
I live alone and I’ve recently run down my cupboards so I really have no food in. want to start eating healthily but I don’t know where to start! does anyone have any inspiration?

Wow thats a lot of sugar for a diabetic in the diabetes link! Its useful not knocking your suggestion down just amazed how they still push this as diabetes friendly food. I get the shakes eating 2 weetabix and raisins and milk.

Home-made vegetable soups freeze well (individual portions in strong freezer bags). You don't need fancy cooking just simmer in vegetable stock then liquidise with a cheap stick blender. I do different coloured soups : green (leeks, watercress, spinach etc) , red (red peppers, tin tomatoes etc) or orange (I put lentils and carrots in the last one) and top with grated cheese when reheated. Lots of onion and garlic in the mix as well (you can soften these in oil to start with). The freezer bags defrost and reheat in a microwave.
