Looking for inspiration, and hoping some of you may have some ideas as I'm feeling totally useless and incapable of sensible thought at the moment.

I've been ill for the last week (GP says respiratory infection), not eaten at all for the last few days, not hungry at all either.

I don't want to eat but I suspect that low energy levels are contributing to feeling rubbish. Plus I'm pregnant and don't want to starve baby.

Any suggestions of something easy and inoffensive that I can try and eat this evening?

The house is fairly well stocked with food but I'm home alone with DD so have to make do with what is here. I don't feel like I can face anything sweet or acidic.

Sorry, I'm usually very decisive but baby brain & sick brain have just turned to useless mush.

If you don’t feel much like eating, could you have some calorific milkshakes or smoothies to get calories and nutrients in that way?

Good old fashioned beans on toast is my go to if I have to eat after illness.
Strangely, salty porridge made with water not milk is also on the list.
How about a boiled egg?

Cheese on toast?

Soup with some bread or toast?

Poached egg on toast.

Your baby won’t suffer. He or she will take all your nutrients so YOU will suffer! (I had the same worry when I was pregnant).

The only things I could stomach in my first pregnancy were orange ice lollies and the occasional steak with peppercorn sauce. Oh, and peanut butter on toast in the very early days.

Soup and toast.
Boiled egg and soldiers.
Scrambled egg on toast.

Thanks everyone. I'm attempting egg & toast. Can't taste anything but the texture is tolerable.
