So FIL recently suffered a heart attack, thankfully doing well now and home after a week in hospital. He's early 60s and has his own gardening business. He's never been one for sitting down, always working or pottering about and generally quite fit as a result. Doesn't see the point in sitting down and watching TV.

Mil now has him on a strict diet, he's banned from driving for a couple of months and obviously off work. Mil pushing him to retire now or at least slow down, they can easily afford it. He loves working and tbh wouldn't know what to do with himself once retired.

Is anyone able to suggest a nice present to cheer him up and that might help keep him occupied?

So far I have radox as he loves a bath, but wouldn't like/appreciate fancier bubbles.
Sweets and a nice whisky are our go to usual presents for him, but these are now off limits.

Help!

I know you said he doesn't like sitting about, but if he's to be more restful how about a Kindle? You can pick them up relatively cheap these days and they're an endless source of entertainment if you're bored!

FIt bit? Gym Kit - often local public gyms and fitness centres have recovery classes for HA and people with other heart disease. Strength bands? Puzzle books, Gardening mags, good gardening book? Fiction Book, healthy cook book for him to have a go at cooking
