Just wondering the cost ? If it genuinely is a good plan? They don’t give much away (as always) without signing up?

I did a free trial and tbh found it a bit patronising. I’ve not carried on with it is the premise is basically: get yourself to 10,000 steps a day (they do this gradually over a couple of weeks), log all your food (this is both calorie counted and graded red, yellow or green) and exercise. Then you get a coach who is supposed to keep you motivated and give you pep talks. My coach was a Californian 12 year old who I really couldn’t get on board with so I’m just doing my fitness pal instead as it’s basically the same thing, for free, with no patronising!

@vikkimoog fuck me is that all I need to do?? Shit. Why didn’t I think of this before!

Have you tried it out and what was your experience like? I've just started the trial, so would be interested in your. Experience?

NothingIsWrong · 11/04/2020 09:40

I did the free trial and then another month, but I never really got into it. MyFitnessPal and fitness blender workouts and 10,000 steps a day seem to be doing the trick at the moment.

Low carb. Weight is dropping off.

Who needs Noom ... when we've got Vikki Moog eh! 🤩

jellybean85 · 11/04/2020 10:10

I've tried it and found very little difference between that and MyFitnessPal free version. If you want them accountability I would get a decent PT to meet once a month, they can do weigh ins and give you movement suggestions. Probably costs about the same; there are good PTs who work out of the park round here

I didnt like it. It was very american based, which meant that most foods I ate, werent in their database and even if they were, it was in imperial.
Constant happy motivational messages were a bit irritating.
Its very expensive.

I recommend using myfitnesspal instead, which is either free with ads, or pay for the adfree service but still massively cheaper than noom, and without the sachaarin sweetness and is well established, has good message boards and all the other features of noom
