Presently living in Chester - renting - and now looking to buy. Know the area just by driving around and have looked at two detached houses on Berwick Road which I really like, but unsure of surrounding area so looking for some advice please. Budget around £550k but (very) happy to pay less for a refurbish project!

It's on the edge of a high income and a very low income ward. The school is excellent there though.
House prices are pretty stable but personally think there are better places to buy like willaston,Heston or ledshsm

Like the look of Hooton and Willaston area but not sure what it’s like?

Looking for 3 beds with some character and some space to maybe add kitchen extension/garden room. Definitely location over size of house!

Looking on Rightmove and would prefer to spend no more than £400-450 and have £100 to refurbish or extend!

Willaston is nice bug avoid hooton
