What the heck is wrong with me... feels like morning sickness but definitely NOT pregnant!

I’ve got a GP appointment next week about this but anyone had a bug or virus like this?

I’m dizzy, lightheaded and feeling sick when I get up in the morning; this often fades to a headache by mid afternoon. I’m struggling to get through a morning without needing to lie down repeatedly. It’s been going on a week now.

Feels like the morning sickness I had with DD but much worse and doesn’t fade away after a couple of hours, food and fresh air like morning sickness did for me.

I’m thinking low blood sugars or low blood pressure?

I’m definitely not pregnant!

There's a virus going about that behaves like that. Headache and totally zapped of energy. Keep your appointment though, if it is then it should be gone by next week. I feel much better now than I did last week but handy to have if it doesn't.

I had similar from Thurs last week till yesterday, what I’d describe as very queasy & thought headaches were due to not eating as much. Horrible taste in mouth/felt breath was rank.Today is first day I’ve felt normal(ish)

Whyismycatanasshat · 03/03/2020 18:02

It’s really wiping me out; I’ve got dull aches in my legs as well.

I’d actually sooner have morning sickness (But absolutely not have another baby!) right now as I improved as soon as I’d had food with that!

You'll get dull aches in your arms and hips and maybe your back the next few days. It will pass though if it's what I'm thinking of.

If it doesn't, then keep the appointment.

Whyismycatanasshat · 04/03/2020 09:40

Well that’s something to look forward to I suppose!
Thought I was on the mend when I got up this morning but apparently not; the lightheadedness and feeling like I could be sick has begun again.
It’s the local-ish baby group today and I really want to go as we don’t do many groups.

Anyone else down with this or had it and can vaguely say how long it lasted?

I’m still feeling really rotten. Rang the Dr yesterday and because I’m immuno-compromised I’ve been for bloods this morning.

Ugh.

Are you diabetic by any chance? I get like this when my sugar is too high. I once spent so much on pregnancy tests and a trip to hospital found my BS was 30!

Whyismycatanasshat · 06/03/2020 12:05

@spongeandcustard I’m not no.
But One of the things my bloods are being tested for is diabetes. Which is a little scary.

In fear I’ve done about 6 tests, all negative and I’m on the pill, so chance of pregnancy is slim anyways. Doesn’t stop me stressing though.

We've had exactly what gamer chick has described.
And I worse in the morning.

Feeling sick. Painful legs etc

Horrible but improves as the day goes on.

*Anyone else down with this or had it and can vaguely say how long it lasted?
*For me it lasted till they put me on an insulin drip in the hospital. I hope that it's just a virus in your case.

HebeMumsnet · 06/03/2020 13:00

Does sound like a virus, OP. I had labyrinthitis once and was like that with the nausea and dizziness. And it was worse first thing (though probably because I was trying to stand up after lying down for ages). This sounds more like a general cold type virus though with the achy legs etc. Get well soon, anyway!

Whyismycatanasshat · 06/03/2020 13:01

I was quite surprised to be summoned for blood tests, even though I’m immuno compromised, usually I just get on with it!

@DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou did you feel like you were improving during the day but then going back downhill the following morning?

Virus. I've had similar. Awful! But it will pass with rest and care.

LongDivision · 06/03/2020 13:11

Vitamin D deficiency perhaps?

Whyismycatanasshat · 06/03/2020 13:11

@HebeMumsnet oo! My first blue poster! I’ve had labyrinthitis before and this definitely feels different. Not that either are pleasant but at least I was able to take motion/anti sickness type meds for the worst of it.

OP posts:
Whyismycatanasshat · 06/03/2020 13:13

@JamesNesbittsBrows Horrid isn’t it! I usually get over stuff in 2 or 3 days despite being immuno compromised, so this has thrown me. It’s exhausting!

Whatever this is is still ongoing. So fed up now. Thought I was better this morning; was up for about an hour and it started up again!
