Travel Insurance for Coronavirus

Hi. I am trying to find an insurer who will cover Coronavirus if we are prevented from going due to FCO or destination govt advice.

I have a complicated medical history so have limited companies I can use and have my quote for the summer hols in France. However, because CV is already in France, they can't confirm that they will accept a claim because CV is already there, and it is expected that it will spread.

Are there any companies that I can insure with just for the CV bit. To be clear, we will be travelling unless we are prevented from doing so, due to formal advice against it.

Thanks

My understanding is that if FCO make it so you can't travel to a location, the airline/company you booked with needs to refund you. They won't be able to operate flights to destinations on the no-go zone list.So therefore, refunds/replacements are a must.

Could be wrong, but I have been reading extensively as I'm booked for Rome in a coupe of weeks and I am keeping a watchful eye on the flight situation. BA, EasyJet and Ryanair have started to drop a lot of their flights so I'm wondering whether Jet2 will be following suit Hmm The aforementioned cancelled flights definitely get refunds/replacement offers as I read it noto 30 mins ago.

Annoyingly I have the ferry booked through one company and the villa booked through another. So, on that basis, I would get the small part refunded but potentially not the rest. The company who sell the villas have just started guaranteeing the refund if you book now, but not for those who booked before.
