Feeling a bit sorry for myself, failed driving test

Just curious how many times people had to take their driving test before they passed? Failed my second test today and am nearly 38 weeks pregnant so am probably taking it alot more personally then I should. One of the reasons I failed was because I was asked to do a reverse parallel park with a white van really close to me who was waving his arms about and getting stressy, I messed the whole thing up and just said I can't do it. Knew there and then I'd definitely failed. Driving instructor says I always let nerves get the better of me but I'm starting to think driving just isn't for me 😔

I passed my 3rd test. First 2 had very few minors but one major. Passed my 3rd test at a different test centre somewhere I didn't really know with a nervous examiner, my instructor said she was in the wrong job. You've got this OP no matter how long it takes. You'll get there.

I'm taking my test for the second time next week. I failed my 1st at 38wks pregnant too, it was shit because the baby is such added pressure. I'd been cool and non-chalant about failing before the test but cried hysterically afterwards 🤦‍♀️

I'm actually pleased I failed with hindsight. I needed an emergency CS and so would've had at least 6 weeks off driving, by which point I'd have to get in a car and drive a tiny newborn. I wasn't ready. I want to feel safe when I drive baby DS around.

Thank you all for your encouraging replies, it really has helped, just can't help but feel a little disheartened. My instructor did say if I was being judged on the warm up lesson I'd had before the test then I would of passed. I just can't help but get nervous especially having someone new in the car watching me. I do feel like being heavily pregnant has also had an effect on it all too as I'm just so physically uncomfortable and feel restricted in the car. Hey ho nevermind, I may just try again after baby is here

Did you see Top Gear this week? The comedian Tom Allen was on. When asked if he passed his test first time he said yes, after two practice tests! It made me smile because it's true. Driving tests are nervewracking, many many people take a few goes to pass.

7th attempt I passed. I have never had any points on my license and have never had an accident. I have been driving for 25 years now Grin
