WTAF have I done to my hand?

Omg I'm delirious with pain
I boxed tonight, my knuckle felt a but itchy in the glove but fine

Boxed for about 20 minutes and since I've taken my glove off the pain in my finger, knuckle and hand is unbearable
It hurts even when I'm not moving it, it's just constant
It's not particularly swollen but is red

Any idea what it could be?

ouch. spider bites can be painful but are usually not worse than insect bites.

jenniuol · 03/03/2020 13:22

Oh dear god 😱

reservoircats · 03/03/2020 13:24

I had to have antibiotics and it was on my foot and has to keep soaking my foot in a bowl of cold water due to it burning. I wasn't scared of spiders- I am now!!!

MozzchopsThirty · 03/03/2020 13:24

No antibiotics yet but he said if it gets any worse I'll need to go back or go straight to A&E

Painkillers & topical antihistamine

I can assure you this is a whole lot worse than an insect bite, my whole hand is numb and the pain and burning tracks down past my wrist

Yes,that's what mine was like, nothing like an insect bite!

I got antibiotics when the bite started to go red and track up my foot.

woodencoffeetable · 03/03/2020 13:47

sorry, that came out from.
yes, spider bites can be really painful, but usually they heal quickly like an insect sting.

HappyHammy · 03/03/2020 13:48

Ouch. You poor thing. Ive seen those spiders.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 03/03/2020 13:49

Hmm, I had this on the underside of my hand. An awful burning pain, it started at the heel of my palm and tracked up.

48 hours later I have an enormous bruise.

I've no idea what I'd done but I think I damaged a tendon or muscle. It was damaged either way.

Anyway it started with a intense burning sensation so maybe be open minded to the whole spider bite thing....

Rosalo · 03/03/2020 13:53

I was coming on to say it's a false widow bite. Dd has one last year and was sobbing with the pain.

MozzchopsThirty · 03/03/2020 14:44

I think I would rather give birth!!!

It's just persistent burning/stinging/dead arm feeling

I had this! Woke up in the night to an excruciating pain in my ankle, actually thought must have had a bit of broken glass in the bed and sliced as it was so bad. went hot and red, went to see GP who said he could see puncture mark (I couldn't get my eyeball that close to my ankle!). He drew round it with a sharpie and gave me antibiotics to see if it spread further. It itched like fuck for over a week. Conclusion was that there had been a spider in the bed.

GloGirl · 03/03/2020 15:02

Pain is tracking down your arm? Is that not "worse" like the GP suggested?

HappyHammy · 03/03/2020 18:44

If youve got a dead arm you need to go back and get seen.

DecemberSnow · 04/03/2020 00:40

Dead arm? Getting worse?

You need to go to A&E

GloGirl · 04/03/2020 10:19
