How’s your Monday going?

Quite an emotional day as we received the E Mail telling us DD11 has got her chosen secondary school place. DD is now regretting putting that particular school as her first choice, saying that she felt under pressure & that hardly any of her friends are going there. It’s so tricky. Her 2nd choice ( where her boyfriend is going) is a good 20 minutes drive away & really not practical but she’s now saying she wishes she’d put it as her first choice. I’m sure this is all normal.
DH & I had a positive family therapy session this morning & we are working through lots of stuff together, which is really great. I had a trim & an eyebrow wax. Meant to take some stuff to the charity shop but forgot, which is probably a good thing as I always get tempted to buy loads more stuff! We have the best charity shop ever! The sun came out today & it feels like Spring is nearly here. The bunnies are being extra adorable 🐰🐰🐰

DS told another child at school that I dont like them 🙄

I never said I didnt like them, I said I dont like what they talk about (inappropriate for reception age). So now I'm feeling oddly shit about it all. Ah well. I need to toughen up I suppose, but I'd hate to think they've reported back to their mum about it, when it isn't even true. I'll probably spend the evening worrying about getting punched in the playground now Grin

That's nice you had a positive therapy session Smile I hope it all works out with secondary schools for you!

Lovely!

It's dd's 3rd birthday today. Her party was yesterday and she opened her presents and cards afterwards. We took her to Smyths with her birthday money. She behaved impeccably at her party and at the toy shop.

Feeling very proud of her 💖

I got news that I'll be starting a new extra job tomorrow, working with SEN kids. Agency work so it fits in with present job which is working with adults who have additional needs. Am excited but a bit nervous which is unlike me.
