Help me stop swearing!

I swear too much. Not every other word, but quite a bit.

Now I don't even realise I'm doing it. But I want to stop it - not least before the children start picking it up. Plus, it's only a matter of time before I embarrass myself at work.

Any tips? I've tried just stopping but it's almost like it's unconscious.

I've found changing 'fuck' to 'fork' (thanks to The Good Place) has helped my cursing drastically.

Grin

Still sounds like swearing though, I guess?

I need to start saying 'golly gosh' and 'on my sainted aunt', don't I?

I second that.

Swap them.

My swearing is bad at the moment but in the past I swap shit for shoot. And fuck for fudge.
Bar steward for bastard.

Can't you just let it out when you're alone, when you're driving or something? Or decide who you can swear with and those you can't...
