My kitten has done something to her leg and unsure what. I came downstairs on friday morning and was limping. I rang the vet and took her there. The vet examined her and said its not a break and thinks its soft tissue damage. The cet gave her a pain killer in a injection and said just let her rest which we have.

Last night she got bad again so called out of hours vet and she said it was just tissue damages as was checked over thoroughly on friday.

After shes had the pain meds prescribed shes very like her normal self but obviously trying to keep this to a minimum.

Has anyone else cat been through this and how long it take to heal. I posted on the litter tray forum and not much response

Did the vet take her temperature? Is she eating OK and lively?

It could either be a sprain and she just needs to get over it but it could take time or if she's quiet and off her food there's a flu like illness that kittens sometimes get where they feel tired and achy so limp and go off their food.

Metacam is good for this as it lowers their temperature and provides pain relief and you just need to make sure they stay hydrated and try to get them to eat. If they're off their food, tempting bland food like raw mince is good.
