Present for a 90 something year old man?

DH's grandfather is 90 something in a fortnight. He has both failing eyesight and hearing, mobilises around his home but can't walk far outside. Does anyone have any good ideas for a birthday present. Our usual fall backs are Betty's cakes, or whisky, but would be keen to break out of the rut. Budget about £50, maybe more if it was just the thing.

Something to wear? I presume he does get outdoors with assistance sometimes, and most men over 70 that I know a) feel the cold more than they used to, and b) really go in for hats/gloves/scarves. If you're in Harrogate, you could try the Orvis shop.

Flannelette pj’s and bed socks.

Things he has loved recently...
Shirts, cardigans and body warmers so he doesn't have to pull things over his head
Wireless headphones (connected to tv)
Beanie hats and finger less gloves. He wears them inside as he gets cold if he is sitting around.
Can still play on his phone/use tv remote/ do crossword with gloves on.
Nice soft blanket for watching tv.
Amazon echo thing. Voice activated!
Magnifying glass
Getting taken out. My gran and her friend go shopping together every week and grandad sits in the supermarket cafe with a coffee.
Audio books.
Fluffy socks.
Decent whiskey or gin. Now sadly replaced with shloer or similar as he fell recently and is still on tablets for something.
