Low grade fever / anxiety - advice?

So I have had issues with recurrent UTIs and twice it led to sepsis - in 2018.

Since then, my anxiety which I've had for years, has been bad. It's particularly bad at the moment because I needed 4 courses of antibiotics in January for UTI. Also all the news items just now aren't helping my healthy anxiety in general.

I privately see a consultant urologist. She sent a sample to the lab this weekend (nothing ever grows though) and I've started in the last few weeks on d-mannose and about to start on Detrusitol.

Here's the thing - I check my temperature ALOT. For the last few weeks since the last UTI my temp has sometimes been up to 38. Last few days it's been between 37.4 and 38. I sometimes feel cold and sometimes feel hot.

I'm really freaking out that

A/ I have a UTI again and will end up with sepsis

B/ there's something serious wrong with me that is causing these fevers. I had bloods done 2 weeks ago for an unrelated issue and they were all fine.

Can anyone reassure / advise or I don't know what. I know most people don't take their temperature loads of times a day. My anxiety is really really bad (on medication) but I'm scared there's a real genuine need to worry this time.

So your body temperature naturally rises and falls during the day and depending upon what you are doing. Being anxious will make it go up a bit as well. Round here it doesnt count as a fever until you are 38.3 if you are an ordinary adult. Do you think you can stop taking your temp for 24 hours and then just take it every morning before you get out of bed - taking it at the same time every day will mean you will be able to stop any changes more reliably

Thanks @SeaToSki that's what I need to do definitely but I get so worried about sepsis and I know it's irrational. Gah!

Anxiety sucks. I find it helps if you can have some rational rules to help control the brain when it starts off on its anxious rants.

What part of your cycle are you on?
Your temperature peaks just after you ovulate. Mine used to peak at around 38.

I’m naturally low temperature ie 35 ish, so 38 is very feverish for me. Given your history I’d get some medical advice. X
