Weird black/purple patch thing on skin

As the title says, I have a recurring mark on my skin (right breast) that has appeared four times now in the exact same place over about two years or so.
The first time it was black and raised, this time it is mostly purple and flattish but you can feel it under your finger.
It's not from my bra as it was visable last night when I was wearing a dress.
Does anyone have any ideas before I make a nuisance of myself at the doctor?

From your vague general description and relatively long history I would recommend a quick HP appointment.

Are you sure it's not a bruise from running or something maybe in the gym or potentially compression against a certain bra which causes a bruise?

Any breast issues should be checked by a doctor.

I went to the gp with something similar, looked like a bruise but had been there for months. He referred me to the dermatologist on the 2 week referral process (although I was seen within a couple of days)
It turned out to be nothing (a blood vessel thing - dunno, it’s still there but has faded, dr isn’t concerned)
But they will definitely want to see you.

GlamGiraffe I think the last time I went to the gym I was a teenager! This latest mark showed up while I was out yesterday and my friend thought I'd dropped something on myself. I'll try to attach a photo.

Eminybob mine looks like a bruise, (though the first one didnt) but it comes and goes.

I've had something that looks similar to this before, almost like what a love bite would look like. I figured out it was a heavy bag I'd been carrying. Breast tissue is quite fragile and anything rubbing might do it. Obviously I recommend you do see your GP in any case, just to be sure.
