We very rarely have a takeaway but I'm craving chicken chow mein. So I've ordered chicken chow mein for me and batterer chicken balls (will drink Diet Coke with it) and H ordered chicken noodle soup and chicken with green pepper and black bean sauce with fried rice. I'm telling myself it's a leap year special Blush diet starts tomorrow! What are you having/have you had?

Roast chicken, roast potatoes and loads of veg.

Pud is chocolate brownie with custard or ice cream.
We won't have chance to eat together tomorrow and I feel the urge to overload my children with lots of veg.

roseelizabeth · 29/02/2020 19:28

@Billyeyelash we've just eaten exactly the same! For the same reasons!

Billyeyelash · 29/02/2020 19:42

😁😁😁 @roseelizabeth

And wasn't it yummy.

Ribeye steak, fries and peppercorn sauce.

Washed down with a glass or three of red.

Shockers · 29/02/2020 19:45

DH made himself a tuna pizza with peppers and spring onion, so I had the rest of the tuna with lots of salad. Cheese and crackers for aftershock.

I didn’t want pizza- he wasn’t being selfish!

Shockers · 29/02/2020 19:45

Aftershock?? The cheese wasn’t that bad!

LBOCS2 · 29/02/2020 19:51

We had steak, chips, fried mushrooms and onions, broccoli, cauliflower and some red wine. It was delicious 😁

AudTheDeepMinded · 29/02/2020 20:01

DH and the kids had a home made stir fried rice thing with chicken, peppers, baby corn and peas. With choc birthday cake for pudding. I had left over veggie curry and rice from in the week. DH cooked theirs and I just shoved mine in the microwave. DH can not cook decent rice to save his life though!

weegiemum · 29/02/2020 20:02

Takeaway pizza and Pinot Grigio.

greedygutty · 29/02/2020 20:12

Thai crab cakes with coconut rice and mango salsa

ThatDreamSheep · 29/02/2020 20:24

Veggie enchiladas. Really fancied them after seeing an advert on the TV.

SamSeabornforPresident · 29/02/2020 20:32

Aldi wagyu burgers on buns with chips and corn on the cobs, with lots of red wine. Proper Saturday indulgence.

UsernameTaken76 · 29/02/2020 20:32

Made the Pinch of Nom, KFC zinger burgers and bbq wedges

Inforthelonghaul · 29/02/2020 20:33

Beef and red wine casserole (Jamie Oliver recipe), mashed potato, swede mash, roasted parsnips and roasted sprouts. Delicious!!

Bloodybridget · 29/02/2020 21:01

Pappardelle with broccoli and anchovies, then some Roquefort and Iberico cheese and crackers, basically because I wanted to carry on drinking sauvignon blanc. Then rhubarb crumble and yogurt. Piggy!

Chicken casserole in the slow cooker, strawberry jam sponge for pudding

MusicToMyEars800 · 29/02/2020 21:08

Chicken, mushrooms and spinach in a cheese sauce with spaghetti and it was good! Chocolate birthday cake for pudding and washed down with vimto as off the booze tonight.

RoscoePColtrane · 29/02/2020 21:29

Had a Chinese takeaway but for some reason my face is now red and feels swollen! Assuming its God's way of telling me not to eat takeaways...

catinb0oots · 29/02/2020 21:51

@shockers why have I never thought of a TUNA PIZZA?

I love tuna. My colleagues think I'm disgusting because I told them I make tuna omelettes Grin

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 29/02/2020 21:57

@catinb0oots - DD17 made herself and younger DD a savoury pancake dinner filled with garlicky spinach and tuna this week. If you love tuna might be up your street Smile

Shockers · 29/02/2020 22:05

@catinb0oots- the best pizza I’ve ever eaten was tuna, onions, capers and an egg cracked onto the middle. It was in the Alps about 20 years ago and I’ve never quite successfully recreated it!

wished · 29/02/2020 22:27

Omg the takeaway 😩

I'm actually overweight (12st) and definitely starting the diet tomorrow BUT it was a massive portion- 2 meals worth. I just couldn't as I ate 5 chicken balls first so I ate 1/3 of it. Do takeaways normally do such big portions for one person?? H's plate looked like 3 portions!!
