Overwhelmed by M&S hot x bun choice - help!

I was in M&S today and saw the hot cross buns. Decided to buy some, but was so inundated by the heady varieties that I ended up with the boring regular 'luxury' ones.

Are the other flavours good? Which are best?? I want to be better prepared next time I go in.

Booths did dark chocolate and ginger last year, they were amazing!

Raspberry and white chocolate from Tesco trump the M&S ones

The salted caramel ones make an amazing bread and butter pudding...not that they usually last that long

@bigbadoldbag Tried one a couple of weeks ago not realising they have cranberries in them. Yuk

I like the Sweet Orange Marmalade ones. They're nice with a bit of Cheddar.

So the chilli and cheese ones are just a savoury bun then?

I’m holding out until Good Friday! Otherwise known as hot cross bun day! I couldn’t start on them now, I’d put on a stone by Easter!

Am thoroughly addicted to chilli and cheese. They sell out very quickly unfortunately. Just hope they will keep them going for a long while yet.

@Cherrysherbet Me too helped by the fact that Tesco are no longer doing my fave ones.

But dont wait till GF They WILL sell out So maybe a week before.

Chilli and cheese hot cross buns ? Do they have raisins in them?? I must have led a sheltered life.

If anyone spots any good gluten free ones please say. I couldn't see any in M&S and they usually do really good gf bakery stuff.

I had a salted caramel chocolate chip one for breakfast toasted with butter and it was squidgy and delicious.

The luxury M&S HxB are the only ones we've tried and they're great, sorry can't help you on all the other varieties but I did think the same as you, OP it was an overwhelming choice.
