Favourite things to do in London

Afternoon,

We moved to London a little while ago (few years) for work purposes, and live in zone 4. So not very central. It's occurring to me that we've not made the most of it. We've done quite a lot of kid-friendly stuff with the kids, but not much for ourselves. So we've made a belated new year resolution to do more grown up stuff in London.

What are your favourite things to do and places to go? Looking for ideas for me and DH, and also me on my own as he occasionally takes the kids to stay with his parents for a couple of days. All ideas welcome, I'm up for things that I might not have thought would take my fancy!

Thank you!

Kew Gardens.
The ROH. If you don't mind barely seeing anything tickets are as little as £8.
Gordon's wine bar.
The Wolseley.
On the day threatre tickets from the cheap ticket booth on Leicester Square.
The spa at Bethnal Green.

Lots of good markets if you like that sort of thing. Portobello Rd etc.

Tower of London is worth a visit.
Hyde Park in good weather.
Oxford Street for shopping.
Lots of fantastic bookshops around the city.

Stroll along by the Globe, National Theatre, Tate Modern, walk across the bendy bridge to St Paul's. Get cheap tickets for something at the National. I just love walking for miles and stopping to people watch.
