Can we talk about Nicola Walker, please? Or your other woman crushes?

I think I love her.

She's absolutely beautiful in a very natural way. I mean she has a very natural attractiveness which doesn't need make-up, procedures or fancy clothes. She looks amazing in Halifax.

I also like that she looks her age. This is so often used as an insult against women but I think it's so refreshing to see a woman in her late 40s looking like a woman in her late 40s. The fact she looks her age doesn't detract at all from how stunning she is.

I also really like that she's in the prime of her career now, in her late 40s, and is playing really realistic and likeable characters who are also meant to be women in their late 40s. She's a great actor.

I basically love her. She doesn't give me fizzy fanny or the like but I just want to watch her all the time and I'd really really like to go on a night out with her, she looks like she'd be an absolute scream

Please tell me you share my love of this woman?

If not, who are your woman crushes? Can't bring myself to write 'girl crush' Envy

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 28/02/2020 20:26

Love Nicola Walker but the Gillian Anderson thing is verging on obsession.

ErrolTheDragon · 28/02/2020 20:30

We got britbox recently and are currently working through the whole of Spooks. So (younger) Keely Hawes, Hermione Norris and Nicola Walker. (Gemma Jones was also excellent)

Riv12345 · 28/02/2020 20:30

Christine Aguillira
In her younger days!!
I think she would be filth 😂😂

tobee · 28/02/2020 20:36

Nicola Walker is great in River. Loved Stellen Skarsgaard in it too.

I once had to stand up in my row at the theatre to let someone go through to their seat. It was Nicola Walker! She gave me her lovely big smile! She's also brainy as well and went to Cambridge University!

SurpriseSparDay · 28/02/2020 20:38

Agree about Ms Walker.

Also find Helen McCrory infinitely watchable - in Mother Father Son and Peaky Blinders.

Vicky McClure is quite breathtaking to look at, but doesn’t seem to inhabit a character to the same extent as the first two.

Russellbrandshair · 28/02/2020 20:42

Jenna Dewan- chatum rankings ex wife.

Just stunning

Russellbrandshair · 28/02/2020 20:44

Channing Tatum that should be 😆

DidoTwyte · 28/02/2020 20:46

I’ve only seen Nicola Walker in The Split and thought she was brilliant.

Other women crushes include Ruth Wilson, Eva Green, Rachel Weisz (I’ve seen her in person and she really is intimidatingly beautiful) and Natalie Dormer.

Women I find absolutely mesmerising and can’t take my eyes off -

Vera Farmiga - she is just hypnotic
Ruth Wilson - velvet voice
Yes yes to Amanda Redman - her eyes
Dawn French - enchanting and funny
Kristin Scott Thomas - in that episode of Fleabag. Watching their whole interaction in that bar, couldn’t take my eyes off either of them.

I wouldn’t say I fancy any of them. They just make me feel calm and relaxed.

RibenaMonsoon · 28/02/2020 21:02

Lana Parilla and Kate Beckinsale.
Both absolute perfection!

missjaysays · 28/02/2020 21:37

I absolutely love Nicola Walker, definite woman crush!

She was absolutely fabulous in the split. I don't know what it is, her face is just so full of expression! Love it

Russellbrandshair · 28/02/2020 23:10

Oh I forgot JLo - there’s something about her I find both beautiful and calming

GoddessArtemis · 28/02/2020 23:18

Suzannah Lipscomb, Lucy Worsley, Alfre Woodard and Janina Ramirez.

GenXer · 28/02/2020 23:51

Love this thread!

Nicola Walker does it for me, as does Gillian Anderson (The Fall - she was amazing in that) and also Anna Madeley.

I still have a thing for Orla Brady, loved her in Mistresses, remember that?

MyDcAreMarvel · 28/02/2020 23:54

Definitely Pink, have admired her since I was a teenager.

Teddy1970 · 29/02/2020 00:07

Not a girl crush but I would like to be friends with the Duchess of Cambridge, I bet she's got a great sense of humour in private and I bet she's incredibly loyal.

Northernsoullover · 29/02/2020 00:15

Alex Polizzi for me.

GlomOfNit · 29/02/2020 00:37

Nicola Walker has done it for me since Spooks. Really funny to see she's so popular here! Grin

I would genuinely do anything for: Fiona Shaw, Eva Green, Raquel Cassidy (omg Worst Witch!), Gillian Anderson, Kristin Scott Thomas, Maria Doyle, or k.d. lang c. about 1995.

WhatShe5aid · 29/02/2020 01:04

Hmmm, Alex Polizzi for me too, those black boots.

I'm currently crushing on the character Anna (Daniela Nardini) in This Life.

Chienloup · 29/02/2020 01:13

Yes yes to Nicola Walker, Natasha Lyonne, and Daniela Nardini. Also Kate Moennig and Billie Piper.

MusicTeacherSussex · 29/02/2020 01:21

I am woman crushing hard on Elisabeth moss... loved her I handmaids and just watched invisible man, what an actress!

katy1213 · 29/02/2020 01:37

God no, she looks like one of those sheep sat on her face and creased it.
Sarah Lancashire was lovely years again Coronation Street but now she seems to play the same whiney put-upon role again and again.

DefiniteArticle · 29/02/2020 02:14

Sheridan Smith and Daisy Haggard!

I wouldn't say I fancy either of them (though they are beautiful), it's just they seem so warm and lovely and real. I always want to be friends with them Grin
