Very useful info for regular train travellers

I've just seen this and thought I'd pass it on to others.
My older kids and I travel on trains sometimes so this is going to be useful in an emergency.

Very useful info for regular train travellers
OP posts:
everybodypuuuuulllll · 29/02/2020 04:58

PatricksRum perhaps they do on your network but I've not seen it on mine.

PatricksRum · 29/02/2020 05:00

Have you seen the adverts? @everybodypuuuuulllll

Marmelised · 29/02/2020 05:26

I’m v familiar with ‘see it say it sorted‘ but hadn’t registered the number until now. I just assumed it meant talk to station staff.
Good to know and I’ll programme into my phone.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 29/02/2020 05:52

Thank you Op, will save into my phone. Am going a long journey on Monday.

FredaFrogspawn · 29/02/2020 05:56

Another regular train traveller who was oblivious to this - thank you.

TheHumanSatsuma · 29/02/2020 06:16

I use trains regularly(not daily admittedly) and it had passed me by.

Thank you.

If you already know it, then just scroll. by, surely the more people who are aware the better.

StopChelping · 29/02/2020 07:14

Thank you op, I’m always wearing headphones and glued to my phone on the train So I’m oblivious to tickers etc.

I always thought the see it say it poster on platforms was just for suspicious luggage/items

FabulouslyFab · 29/02/2020 07:36

Thank you for this OP 👍

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 29/02/2020 07:43

Probably a useful reminder for those who go around with headphones on all the time. It's good to know you can use it to report bad behaviour. I thought it was just for unattended luggage and terrorist related incidents.
I too hate the slogan. Drives me mad as does the voice.

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 29/02/2020 07:44

Oops cross post with stopchelping

VivaLeBeaver · 29/02/2020 07:46

I’m a regular train commuter and unaware of this so thanks. Never seen a poster.

JudyCoolibar · 29/02/2020 07:46

Thanks - duly noted by me and DD.

VivaLeBeaver · 29/02/2020 07:48

And I don’t even know what a “ticket banner” is which people say are on trains. Maybe it’s different up North?

ShirleyPhallus · 29/02/2020 07:51

I’m a regular train used but the “see it, say it, sorted” slogan seems to imply something about bombs / danger rather than low level vandalism or rowdy drunk people. The voice says “if you see something that doesn’t like right, text XYZ. See it. Say it. Sorted”. I always thought it was unattended bags or dodgy looking people.

Really useful to know you could also use it for drunken wankers or if you were being pestered or something.

Thanks OP, this is useful.

AwdBovril · 29/02/2020 07:52

Thanks, I use a train occasionally & didn't have the number in my phone. Now I do.

DrDreReturns · 29/02/2020 07:55

Lol I used it a couple of days ago!
I too am sick of hearing 'See it, Say it, sorted!'

Hellohah · 29/02/2020 07:56

@bookmum08 I've been getting the train to/from work for 7 years. And I've never seen this, or maybe I have and have never paid attention.

Anyhow, thanks OP, I know now 🙂

Stuckforthefourthtime · 29/02/2020 08:55

@bookmum08 I take the train daiLu, do tend to read posters as have no mobile reception for most of my route and stand up so can't read books, and have also never seen this. Thanks OP!

Fiddlestikks · 29/02/2020 09:04

I always thought this was only for terrorism purposes. Handy to know it can be used if something else unpleasant is happening.

Lionsleepstonight · 29/02/2020 09:52

I thought it was only for terrorism. Handy to know its for other issues too.

bookmum08 · 29/02/2020 11:21

OK OK I take back what I said. It seems lots of folks are unaware of this.
Apologies all.
(maybe I travel on trains far too much - I am a bit of a train nerd)
Apologies again.
I didn't mean to sound so rude.

AlCalavicci · 29/02/2020 11:48

I have heard / seen the see it say it stuff but like PP I thought it was more for unattended bags things on the tracks etc .

I have stored it in my phone now , thanks OP

ExpletiveDelighted · 29/02/2020 11:56

I've stored it in my phone too, thanks OP.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 29/02/2020 12:53

Regular train user into mainline stations. Never seen this either. All the posters, tickers and announcements on our network seem to be about reporting unattended baggage and suspicious items.

Thank you OP.

DianaT1969 · 29/02/2020 14:13

I would pay good money never to hear the slogan 'see it, say it, sort it' again.
