The cafe is open

Morning all. The cafe is open, the kettle is on and the coffee machine starting up.

There is water and fruit juice for those breastfeeding, with a ginger biscuit on the side.

I was thinking waffles this morning? Maybe scrambled eggs for those without a sweet tooth.

Please could I join and have a hot chocolate?

I’ve been awake since 1. A sense of uneasiness about DH ‘friendship’ with a colleague yesterday heightened and in the last 12 hours I’ve been coming to terms with the fact he’s almost certainly having an emotional affair. I need to address it on my terms having gathered my thoughts but have taken myself to the spare room on the basis I have a bad cough and don’t want to keep disturbing DH and have just been sat awake sobbing for the past few hours.

More hot chocolate all round @Yorkshire do you want a shot of vanilla vodka in it?

Thank you sashh, trying to keep a clear head so I’ll pass on the vodka but a slab of buttery toast would hit the spot.

And thanks social and frownette. Just feel so lonely and overwhelmed with sadness atm.

Please can I join? Cup of tea and toast please, can't sleep due to a wisdom tooth coming through, been in agony for days and have given myself a poorly stomach taking painkillers now. I'm too old to be teething!

OK pancakes today, with cream and berries

Ooo pancakes.... yes please.... my poor DH will likely end up making this for me 😂 I had eggs the best morning last time.

Pancakes sounds good... although I'd better pass as I can't swallow. Perhaps an ice cold smoothie to soothe my tonsils?

I have some frozen berries so smoothies are no problem.
