Dress as a word

Inspiration please for next Friday. Children need to dress as a word for school. Eg all in black “incognito”. Any ideas?

What sort of age?

Apathy...Wear any clean clothes?

Don't go in, absent

Odd socks etc - 'mismatched'
Messy hair, dirty face - 'dishevelled'

"Eccentric" or "Eclectic" could be good - lots of different mismatched prints and colours?

Wear their own clothes, boy/girl

Pyjamas, tired

Bit of bubble wrap around torso-“fragile”

Christmas wrapping paper - present.

All in one colour - blue/red/green...

What's the purpose of this exercise? Do they have to talk about the word they're portraying?

Seasons/weather. Boot on one foot, sandal on the other. Scarf, shorts, glove on one hand ...?

We have the same bollocks happening at ours. Unfortunately I’ve probably used up my quota of annoyance cookies this week so have abandoned the plan of sending DC as NOISY or LOUD with accompanying vuvuzela and whistles strung around the neck but hope someone can use it.

Take in extra lunch & snacks....Gluttony

Wear sports gear eg Rugby Cricket Football

Mine have to do this! My dd was set on going as Evie from Disney's Descendants, so she is wearing the costume and going as Descdndant! Ds hates dressing up, so he is going to wear his jumper that has the word invincible on the front sorted!

I’d be tempted to use words that fitted whatever costumes you have.

What an odd thing - you could go as anything at all, surely. Just thinking of clothes my kids have in their drawers - athlete, cyclist, footballer. Widening it out to dressing up box - soldier, ghost, vampire, Christmas, Roman, knight, Spider-Man....

Cold - ware all blue , blue face paint ( cold be mistaken for a Smurf! )

Unironed clothes - crinkly/wrinkly

Go in school uniform but as 'paradox' not 'rebel' - by dressing in clothes that are designed to conform, paradoxically you are rebelling by appearing not to be taking part.
