I only made the connection a few years ago myself.

I only figured this out a couple of years ago. Shrove Tuesday, then Fat Tuesday, then Mardi Gras.

Still call it Pancake Day though! (Or sometimes Jif Lemon Day...don’t forget the pancakes on....)
