Why are amazon using royal mail so much?

It means even if you have prime you won't always get it next day.

I ordered something Monday and wondered why est delivery was so late...It's royal mail.

In all my years of using amazon I've never had RM deliver packages until these two recently

I’ve noticed it too. To be honest I prefer it. Fed up of other couriers leaving parcels on doorstep, not waiting for me to answer the door or leaving an item with a bloke in the pub!

I prefer it too - Hermes and Yodel fucking suck.

I’ve had Royal Mail for quite a while now... probably at least a year? But the parcels still tend to come next day.

I'm happy with RM if the alternative if sodding Hermes.

I always used to get RM next day. Then it was RM but slow.
Then it was their own couriers which was next day.

Today I received an order in two parts, DPD and another their own couriers. I placed the order 24hrs ago I’d say.

TulipsTwoLips · 25/02/2020 16:12

I'd much prefer they came with Royal Mail.

SunHillBill · 25/02/2020 16:14

Because Hermes are appalling?

Frownette · 25/02/2020 16:14

I'm the reverse, delivery was always super smooth before

@Finfintytint Leaving it with a bloke in the pub Grin

Did you know him or did he come drunkenly stumbling up after last orders bearing gifts?

Mine tend to come via Amazon Delivery which I’m guessing is their in house courier? But I’m unsure if they only operate in certain regions.

Finfintytint · 25/02/2020 16:20

We didn’t know him as such but luckily he was an honest bloke in the pub who gave it to the landlord who let us know.

I order glass bottled water from Amazon and Royal mail delivered it 2days late. They had put the damaged box along with broken bottles in a sealed plastic bag and delivered it to me with all the bottles inside. It was absolutely ridiculous to get a delivery of broken glass! Never had that problem with Prime Delivery....
