Calling all playmobil experts

Bought a second hand set which came with a few extra bits in the box. It included these two bits (see pictures). Does anyone know what set they are from? I’m ordering a few other spare parts so if I know which set they are from I can order bits to make these useful.
TIA

What else did you buy it with that might give some clues too? Does it definitely have playmobil written on it somewhere?

Solasum · 25/02/2020 20:45

Looks like hay from a farm set to me

Do playmobil parts have the part number underneath where the playmobil word is like lego does?

If yes, type the part number into their website

LIZS · 25/02/2020 21:06

Haystack or thatched roof of a barn

Carnabie · 26/02/2020 16:22

I suppose it could be not playmobil at all.
I got it in with a swimming pool but that’s not necessarily a clue because there were lots of random bits in there (some furniture, a set of dogs, a duck pond, lots of random figures etc).

Was just hoping someone would go “oh that’s the x from the x set” and I’d be able to look it up and get whatever bits attach to it. Never mind. Thanks for all the suggestions though!

Is it not part of a thatched beach hut type affair?

LIZS · 26/02/2020 16:30

Has it got any markings on inside?

LIZS · 26/02/2020 16:31

Think we may have had something similar as part of a watchtower on pirate island set.

doradoo · 26/02/2020 16:33

If there's a number on the back, you can use this link to find out more - it's for ordering spare parts, but it should tell you which set it belongs to I think.

doradoo · 26/02/2020 16:47

Im way too invested in this - and my kids are too big for playmo now - but I think I've found it - pp was right with the pirate thing - looks like they don't make the set anymore, but found this on German eBay

rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.de%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F174150712423

Has the set number, but nothing is coming up on the playmo site

petalpower · 26/02/2020 18:07

You need @somuchtobits - she is the expert on Playmobil!

SoMuchToBits · 26/02/2020 18:31

Thanks @petalpower, I am looking on PlaymoDB website to see if I can identify this part, but haven't found anything yet. Will report back if I do find anything.

SoMuchToBits · 26/02/2020 18:44

@Carnabie what are the dimensions of these pieces? That would help with trying to identify.

SoMuchToBits · 26/02/2020 18:49

I'm going out shortly and won't be home until about 10 pm, but will resume my search then and see what I can come up with!

elephantoverthehill · 26/02/2020 18:52

Well done for accepting the challenge somuch I was about to recommend you. Petal got there before me Grin

elephantoverthehill · 26/02/2020 18:54

Are they rooves for a beach style bar?

scrivette · 26/02/2020 19:05

Possibly from a Playmobil Nativity set?

Carnabie · 26/02/2020 19:54

Wow you lot are great thank you.

Yes I thought maybe beach shelter or safari type set but my searches haven’t returned anything.

They are 9cm at the widest part, 6cm deep, 6cm high, but they definitely need some kind of stand or base as they don’t really balance on their own.

I can’t actually see any writing on the base so maybe they are not playmobil as most of my other playmobil at least says playmobil if not the part number. There are a few bumps that are possibly writing but they are right up against the textured bit. I do apologise if they’re not and I’ve wasted all your time 😳

Hmm, I've searched on PlaymoDB for parts under "roof", "shelter", "straw", "haystack" and "thatch" and haven't returned a matching part.

My feeling is that these probably aren't Playmobil parts. In some ways they don't look quite right for Playmobil (speaking as someone who has experience of many Playmobil sets). But I'll keep looking at any sets I think are promising.

@doradoo the part in the set you linked to doesn't exactly match these, although similar in style and colour.

SoMuchToBits · 26/02/2020 22:20

Definitely not from any of the Nativity sets.

SoMuchToBits · 26/02/2020 22:25

They are definitely not from the Island Juice Bar (I have that set) and can't see any other leisure sets which seem to feature them.

Have also had a bit of a browse round pirate sets and farm sets, but haven't come up with anything.

Also the "legs" on them don't look like a Playmobil type fixing. Sorry, this isn't very helpful! I can only imagine they come from some other plastic play world, but not sure which one!

Carnabie · 27/02/2020 22:15

Thank you so much for all your searching!
