Hello, I’m moving house soon. I’m just wondering if I should tip the removal people and if so how much.

Is be grateful for your experiences and opinions! Thanks Smile

Now feeling really mean as I have never tipped removals men but did keep them supplied with tea and coffee (none of them would eat the chocolate biscuits I provided!) and my undying gratitude for being so kid and efficient!! Have never had cause to complain about any of them and never suffered any damages but always use the same firm so I usually get one person who remembers me from a previous move Grin

I used to work for one of the firms already mentioned. I would never tip, they are already being paid. I dont get a tip for doing my job well. I always offer drinks and food to anyone working in my home though.

Yes I always tip them £30 - £50 , sometimes it's only a small load of stuff that I may have put into storage other times it's been a full on houseful but either way they are invaluable to me , all of them give carefulness and consideration in bucketloads at a potentially stressful time

Yes, tipped them £50 between them and paid for their lunch. They were amazing and worked so hard!

Yep I think £40/50 between 3 of them, they were excellent.

No tip. Bought them bacon butties when we got our breakfast and made lots of drinks and provided lots of biscuits. They only had to load and unload as we'd done all the packing so not a hard job
