Housework underachiever?

Hi all

Had one of those days where I am knackered, sweaty and grumpy and feel 0 has been achieved. This was my day:

  1. Hoovered and washed floors
  2. Rescued mattress from cat dirty protest, hairdried it, remade bed
  3. Washed foul sheets etc
  4. Turned knackered lace tablecloths into very nice vintage 'net' curtains by dyeing and rewiring them, rehung by dangling off ladder
  5. Washed balcony and watered the sodding plants again
  6. Had man in to inspect broken Storm Dennis casualty window, ordered repair
  7. Changed all throws to newly laundered ones
  8. Supermarket shop at Magic Hour ie double yellow sticker, so M&S goodies full fridge
  9. Tried and failed to watch film as only had subtitles and couldn't watch and work
10. Medicated about 20 times (average for me daily)

AIBU to feel tired and moody?

How’s all that under achieving?? I did 2 loads of washing, unloaded the dishwasher a couple of times, walked the dogs, did a quick supermarket shop, did 2 hours at the allotment, put on my robot hoover, picked various kids up and cooked us all tea, that was about it! You did much more than me and I don’t feel that I had a lazy day really.

bloody hell if that's an underachieving day then I am a right lazy cow, ive got up gone to work come home cooked a pork dinner and gone out for the night that's it

dementedpixie · 24/02/2020 21:59

I took kids to school
Did a gym fit class
Went to supermarket
Put a wash on and hung it up
Hoovered upstairs (only because the Hoover had been upstairs for at least a week and I needed it back downstairs!)
Made kids dinner
Emptied dishwasher
Chopped onions/peppers for fajitas for me/dh
Took ds to football training
Went to lidl for stuff I'd forgotten earlier
Eventually had dinner

This is amazing OP! (Also you have much wisdom - when do M&S do magic hour so I too can benefit from their goodies without forking out £££?)

Supersimkin2 · 24/02/2020 22:12

I am feeling cheered up, thanks all. You know those schlep days, every 30-second job takes an hour, I lost the will to live Grin

Have fed cat 6 times (greedy) and made pancake batter (30 secs, finally).

230 pm, at the mo, but M&S change it so people don't get used to it...
