Property porn:

Look at this house; great for when we win the lottery

Hideous. I can see why they have so many outside pictures, the inside looks dark and dingy.

Rockbird · 24/02/2020 20:20

Too chocolate-boxy for me. I can find better things to spend £4m on...

FenellaVelour · 24/02/2020 20:26

The outside is beautiful. Stunning, in fact.
Inside, it just looks a bit cluttered and there’s something about the style of the rooms I don’t like... all the beams make the rooms look a bit claustrophobic. So while I love the grounds and gardens, I don’t love the house.

pinboard · 24/02/2020 20:38

The grounds are really beautiful - they've really made the most of those.
Nice kitchen too.

pinboard · 24/02/2020 20:40

But yes, the rest seems cluttered and not amazing for the money?

SalmonOfKnowledge · 24/02/2020 20:42

Inside is a bit higgledeepiggeldee for THREE MILLION POUNDS

Divebar · 24/02/2020 20:45

Some of that furniture is revolting ..... I know that you’re not buying it but it’s quite off putting. Not my dream home I’m afraid.

SalmonOfKnowledge · 24/02/2020 20:45

i WAS looking at the wrong house.

But still, no, I could spend it better!

SinglePringle · 24/02/2020 20:46

Interiors have been ruined by a lack of imagination.

Exterior is lovely apart from the awful colonnade.

Man, what I could do if I had the cash.

Mooey89 · 24/02/2020 20:47

My Auntie used to live in an old Mill house, it was STUNNING and had a working water mill and lake in the garden... I could never relax there because I was always constantly paranoid DC would run off when I wasn’t paying attention and drown 😱 this house reminds me of that!

SpaceDinosaur · 24/02/2020 20:47

Outside is glorious. The kitchen is beautiful but the rest? The ceilings are too low for the room sizes and the whole place feels "grey"

Also. An outdoor pool in the UK? Jog on! Unless there's an indoor pool as well... if I have a pool I want to use it daily thank you.

BentNeckLady · 24/02/2020 20:48

Doesn’t do it for me tbh. The gardens are lovely but the house is meh.

YewandOak · 24/02/2020 20:49

I don't love it. I don't even like it very much.Too overdone for me.

MarshaBradyo · 24/02/2020 20:51

I live the outside but really dislike the inside

MarshaBradyo · 24/02/2020 20:51
  • Love the outside
Fleetheart · 24/02/2020 20:52

Oh I think I could handle it well enough despite the low ceilings

OP posts:
ForestYeti · 24/02/2020 20:54

It looks beautiful from the outside but ceilings are a bit low and personally I’d want more bedrooms if I was spending that

Carrive · 24/02/2020 20:54

Love it!

daisychain01 · 24/02/2020 20:54

I'd definitely get rid of that lake! If you lived in my neck of the woods, you'd be like me - " if you can see water through any window in the house, don't buy the house!!"

If I had £4M to burn I'd buy land and build something bespoke, including a massive David Salisbury orangery

Jocasta2018 · 24/02/2020 20:56

Looks like you'd need a ride-on lawn mower! A friend in the US has one - large house & grounds bought for a song in one of the States you usually fly over from NY to LA. It's brilliant fun to use, love having a ride around when I see her!
Lovely house & in my neck of the woods. Hopefully my numbers will come in sometime!

MrsMoastyToasty · 24/02/2020 20:56

Where's the bedrooms?

Coolcucumber2020 · 24/02/2020 20:57

Outside amazing.

Inside no. I also like tall men as partners and they would bump their head inside.

Reginabambina · 24/02/2020 20:58

It would be amazing if decorated nicely.

Megan2018 · 24/02/2020 20:59

Not my cup of tea at all-far nicer houses around here!

This is a few miles from me
