Things I never knew - magenta doesn't exist

I don't think there's been a 'things I've only just found out' thread for a while, so here's one. According to Bored Panda magenta doesn't exist, it's a construct made by our brains when we see both blue and red (opposite ends of the spectrum) together, but it doesn't have a wavelength of its own. Shock

I know this isn't AIBU but YABVU to refer to Steve Mould as a smug nerd Wink

I might have a bit of a geeky crush on him

I am also very fond of nerds, in fact I married one and I might even be one. (He does come across as quite smug though.)

I am very confused now. So what colour is my magenta sock really?

ErrolTheDragon · 24/02/2020 00:07

In your reality, your sock is whatever colour you perceive it to be.

Given it's after midnight, maybe turn the light off and it won't have any colour at all?

You say that, keira but I never saw Marc Almond and Ms Devine together in the same room.
