Fake tan advice?

Okay so I'm going away in a few weeks and would like a little tan (fake tan). I've never done it before in my life because I'm terrified of looking like an orange lol. Has anyone got any tips/advice at all? And any recommendations for what to buy? Thank you

Skinny tan. Wonder serum if you want a dark tan or mousse if you want a lighter tan.

Book in at a salon for a spray tan.

I wouldn't if you are going anywhere hot/pool/beach. The fake tan will go really patchy!
