Inspired by a recent thing I saw on the poke I was having a giggle at nicknames that people had and some of the ridiculous reasons for them 😄

Will probably out me but in our circle of friends:
Panda- cos he's always had two dark rings around his eyes
Lash- bescause he's always on the piss
Hobbit- got hairy toes
Boots- DH tells me it's because he always wore boots to school 🤷‍♀️
Tree- tree surgeon
Badger- he started going grey and ended up with stripy hair
We also know a Nobby, Jimbob, and I work with a dishy and a tasty!

Not one single person in any of my friendship circles has a nickname like that. I mean, do Panda and Badger like being called those names?

FuckKnowsMate · 23/02/2020 14:05

Oh god all my DPs friends have nicknames, I actually don’t even know their first names for some of them. DP has a nickname and I think only myself and his mum are the only people who call him by his actual name.
No idea what the reasons are for all the nicknames either but DPs is a shit story not even worth typing it out Grin

I am in semi rural Wales and lots people have she name nicknames relating to the name of their farms, jobs etc. My favourite is Dai the Sqaure (lives by the village crossroads known locally the square).

@Fernferze, they introduce themselves by their nicknames.

Some of them i don't even know their actual names....

Typical all boys grammar school humour, my OH had a friend they called Bronk because he often suffered from chest infections
