I get quite a lot of eco themed FB adverts, and this one just made me laugh

It's one of those Kickstarter type adverts, a new re-usable product to replace a wasteful, throw-away, single-use product. It's innovative (apparently). The product it replaces is a pack of tissues, it's a reusable, washable tissue in a little container. Umm, that's a handkerchief surely? Grin Is there a whole generation who doesn't remember what a handkerchief is?

Grin

Talk about reinventing the wheel!

Herja · 23/02/2020 12:12

That's excellent! Could you screenshot it? I would like to see that Grin

Hahaha. Yeah, I got this about a week ago.
Their kickstarter campaign has raised 400 thousands pounds.
I'll just let that sit for a moment.
Nigh on half a million quid...... to develop a hanky. In a pouch.

I'm starting to think a worldwide extinction of the human race isn't actually a bad idea.
We've entered the Age of the Idiocracy.

Yes, that's the one BigStripeyBastard. Grin

Hah yes I saw that one and had the same wtf reaction. It’s literally a hanky.

Bet you have you have to be an expert in origami to get the buggers back in there after you washed them!

CaptainMyCaptain · 23/02/2020 12:55

I've missed a trick then. I made myself two sets of hankies in left-over cotton lawn. 6 of each fabric which fit into a little sachet I made. They are easy to get in the sachet if you iron them which takes seconds.

Don't think that it will take off with the teenage boy market though

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 23/02/2020 14:51

Grin maggienolia I have a teenage boy, now I need brain bleach (and probably actual bleach too).
