Is there a Netflix/Amazon/BBC show for this situation?

And if there is, could you please recommend it to me?

My dog passed away earlier today and I'm feeling pretty upset about it and also fairly guilty for being away when it happened. Friends are all "oh it's only a dog" so insert some general feelings of anger/loneliness/more upset too. I'm not looking for pity, just some TV shows that fit with these feelings!

Ideally I want to watch something that will take my mind off it without requiring too much effort, if that makes any sense? It definitely doesn't make sense, but sorry I don't know how to describe it. All suggestions welcome as I honestly don't know if I want to watch some light-hearted series (Friends type thing) or something gripping (Bodyguard/The Stranger vibe) or anything inbetween. Just nothing too sad please!

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime so anything from there, plus BBC, ITV etc.

Thank you in advance!

What about something familiar so you don’t really have to concentrate, but with a long gap since you last watched it so it won’t be boring to watch now. An old TV series like Dawson’s Creek (Amazon Prime and possibly Netflix too), ER (not sure where/if it’s available), Greys (ditto to ER), Friends etc...

So sorry about your dog. Anyone who says ‘just a dog’ can do one.

Anyway. Kim’s Convenience on Netflix. Lovely comedy about a Korean family running a shop in Canada. It’s friendly, happy, light and very funny.

Virgin river excellent suggestion. Interesting without being lighthearted or silly or dramatic

I'm so sorry about your dog.

Parks and recreation is a great series, easy to watch, and nothing to ambush you. X

Cheer on Netflix. It's your typical observational thing, a world you probably don't know anything about, but OMG it grips you.

Sorry about your dog Thanks
