How old is your duvet

I have just realised I have lived in my house for 15 years and was thinking which items I brought from my last house and which I have replaced.

While I regularly buy new bed linen, I don’t think I have replaced my duvet🤢.

I have a summer and winter one, to be honest I have never even washed them. Am I alone in my mankyness????

Not alone at all, our summer duvet was dhs from when he lived at home... We've been living together 8 years, I don't know when he or more likely his mum bought it. I washed it when we moved from our flat to our house, 5 years ago.
Winter duvet I bought when we bought the house, 5 years ago, hasn't been washed yet.

I recently replaced it - the old one was 4 years old.

No idea, it came from a hotel that was closing down 5 years ago. It has been washed though!

I replaced mine last month after 20 years. The old one was much better quality this one is too airy for my liking, it doesn't mould to my body, so I'm after a new one

I got mine from my grandma's house when she died 20 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd had it ten or 20 years. So could be more than 30 years old. Doesn't bother me!

You are not alone in your mankiness, OP. I probably shouldn't admit this and I promise I'm not totally minging, but I have a duvet that was a wedding present 30 years ago, and another 4.5 tog one that's 28 years old. They are probably due a trip to the laundry Blush

ExpletiveDelighted · 22/02/2020 13:45

Probably about 20 years. We have 9 and 4.5 ones that popper together to make a super 13.5 tog one but its way too hot so we only ever use them separately. Wash each once a year when we put them away.
