Has anyone here ever been an army reservist?

I’ve tentantively applied to join the reserves as I feel like I am in need of a new challenge and something to give my life some more meaning. Sounds a bit wanky but there we go!

Would love to hear others experiences of the application process/training, things you’ve done etc

Not the army reservists but I was in the RAF for 10 years if that helps. I have a friend who does RAF reserve and she loves it, most reservists I have come across love it.

Yup though quite sometime ago. Experiences were amazing - adventure training trips (skiing and diving were absolute highlights), training abroad including America, Cyprus and Germany. Basic training was tough, but have taken so much away from it all - and absolutely miss it; but gave it up for a career and children. Want to pm me for a proper chat?
