Haematoma in early pregnancy

I’m about 3 weeks pregnant and had a lot of bleeding so went to early pregnancy assessment unit. Had my bloods and my hormone levels made them think I was over 5 weeks so they scanned me. I was showing less than 5 weeks on scan and the pregnancy looked normal but too early to tell. I have a small haematoma (approx a third of the sac size) has anyone had one I am worried sick due to a previous miscarriage at 6 weeks back in October 2019. The trust in my city don’t offer progesterone at this stage so we don’t really know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, but mine was later on (towards three months). Had bleeding on and off for a few weeks. The result of said pregnancy has spent the last ten minutes using me as a soft play frame.

There’s nothing you can do yourself, as I understand, but it’s happened to a couple of friends with the same happy end result. Fingers crossed you have the same, too.

I had some bleeding and a sub chorionic haematology at about 6 weeks. DS is now nearly 11. I don't think you can do anything, but I remember the waiting and worrying vividly. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi OP, I had what they considered a "very large" hematoma at 13 weeks - about the size of a coke can and initially it vastly outsized baby. I had no more than a tiny bit of spotting but I was terrified like you. I didn't take any progesterone and the doctors were very much "we'll just have to see what happens", but he's turning two this summer and is very much a lovely, healthy little boy now. At the time I was told to take things easy and avoid heavy lifting/strenuous exercise, but that was it. So sorry for your previous loss, and that you're having to go through this. Wishing you all the best Thanks
