To please help me understand what happened last night?
I'm 5+5 weeks pregnant with second child. Last night DP and I were having sex, and 2 mins into it I began to experience severe pain. It can only be described as one long intense contraction. It lasted about 45 minutes, in which I was crippled over on the bed in absolute agony,and even when subsided there were lasting pains for the rest of the evening. I felt sick with pain and couldn't eat. I was convinced I was miscarrying but I didn't pass any blood. All in all a very traumatising experience.
For a bit of background context I also have endometriosis and had surgical endometrial ablation before becoming pregnant with my first DC.
I have also been diagnosed as having proctalgia fugax, which is essentially unexplained spasms in my bowel and pelvic floor that come occasionally and generally last about 19 seconds. I onky ever experience these around my period and have been dubious for years about whether it's been correctly diagnosed or is actually something else gynae related. These spasms feel exactly like what happened last night but onky last ten seconds or so and are sporadic and unpredictable.
Can anyone shed any light on what happened last night or if all these things are related or not? Is this normal? Should I be pushing for further investigations generally?
