I mostly stayed in bed most of the time.

I honestly can't remember :/

Childhood when not at school I remember children's TV, playing with my brother, going out on bikes. A lot of time indoors reading.

I can't really remember my parents being around although they were!

ZeroFucks, Morporkia - I had my idea on Why Don’t You. Came up with my name on the screen - my proudest moment Grin

I think we went to the park (which was really considered a treat..my mum didn't drive so it was a PITA to get to), watched a lot of tv, painted pictures and wet into town to do food shopping etc. I don't remember ever doing anything exciting, my dad was at work all day and my mum didn't drive.

This HT we have been to stay with grandparents for a few days, kids have been to a softly, the cinema and out for pizza and on a couple of park visits. I am ready for them to go back to school now..they are bored and fractious and my patience is starting to wear thin.

Expectations were different then and we did not expect out parents to entertain us, nor did they feel the need.
I was also one of 6, we had no car and we never went on a family holiday. We entertained each other when we were smaller or I played by myself and of course there would have bene much fewer toys.
As I got older I spent a lot of time playing with friends, going for walks and messing around...we lived in the country.
In my teenage yearsholdays were spent hanging out with friends, each others houses or hanging out in local cafe's.

It exhausts me seeing what other people do at half term. I work my area off in term time.I haven't got the energy to plan stuff when I'm.off. although they have been pretty annoying this week. But I think that's more me than them- I need my space and I haven't had it.

Usually playing out in the street or in someone's house if the weather was bad. When I was younger I would be at grandparents on the days mum worked or sometimes at my best friend's house for the day but then after about 12yo she'd leave me at home where I'd laze around watching TV until about 11am then get dressed and go knocking for friends who lived in the street or make plans to go swimming or wander round the local town.
