How do you manage PMS?

I've been on the combined contraceptive pill since I was 15. The only times I've stopped taking it is to conceive my 2 children which luckily only to a couple of months to fall each time and then obv during pregnancy. I'm coming up 28 and stopped the pill last october after my dh got the all clear from having the snip.

I got my 1st period after stopping in November and it was horrific! Heavy and just awful. The 2nd was the end of December, which according to the app I downloaded was a week later than it should have been. Then another at the end of jan which was a couple of days earlier than it should have been and apparently I am due on on sunday.

My boobs are killing me. They are so tender to touch and really hurt if I run upstairs and they bounce. They're swollen and hard too. The right one slightly more than the left.

My backs aching and i feel like a horse has kicked me in the fanny.

I had a headache all day the other day too.

Im really tired too. It seems to be that all this happens about 5- 7 days before I come on

This has been happening ever since I stopped the pill but obv with been on it so long I dont know what my natural cycle is like or what symptoms I have.

Is this all normal? I've read it can take 6 - 12 months for the body to work itself out after contraception. Is there anything I can do to make it more bearable.
