Life's small pleasures

Just wondering what other people's small pleasures in life are? One of mine is having a cup of coffee in peace and quiet first thing in the morning after DH has gone to work before DS wakes up listening to the birds singing away

Listening to podcasts at night, reading, a walk, lighting a candle , playing music, my dog.

The view from the field where my daughter keeps her horse. It's amazing, can see for miles and I love the fact that the general public on the public footpath many, many feet below do not get to appreciate the same view (it's ok but not amazing from there).

Watching the tiny little seeds I've planted turn into fruit bushes /veggies. It's quite incredible.

Eating said fruit and veggies

Coffee in the morning sun in summer

New shampoo, especially when it turns out to be one that makes your hair all swishy

Pj's straight off the radiator /out of the dryer in winter

Ds's face whenever he's happy

Having a candle lit, house cleanish, nice sandwich, slice of cake, coke zero, yoga, clean sheets, dog on my feet, cats purring, bunch of daffodils, walk by the sea, mountains, in bed raining outside, a good book, trash TV, sex, smells of my children's heads, my home, sleep, my bed, massage, a walk with my dh, life, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, car, having toe nails painted, eyebrows waxed, shower, my curls, my childrens laughing, me laughing so so many things.

A tidy clean house
A night in bed alone when DH is away (very rarely) so I can binge Netflix
A Friday night takeaway
Being in bed listening to the storm
Catching the tube home after dinner with a friend and seeing London through tipsy eyes and still feeling young and alive
A Bakewell tart and a cup of chamomile tea
A bath
Watching my baby fall asleep
Blossom

Some lovely ones here! There's loads more when I stop to think about it: being surprised with a bunch of my favourite flowers, then looking at said flowers, putting new photos into frames dotted around the house (then forgetting I changed them and bent surprised when they are different), DS running at me with open arms across the living room for a cuddle. Will probably think of more later

My grandchildren's cuddles, when they say I love you gran, sitting in the car at the seaside watching waves crash over the wall and all warm and cosy inside. Being with my hubby and children and us all laughing together, family time, tulips in the garden.

This thread is great makes me think I should be a lot more grateful for these little things I take for granted xxxx

Early morning walks in the village always perk me up. Followed by a nice cup of tea of course.
